Corrosion is a natural process that converts a refined metal into a more chemically stable form such as oxide, hydroxide, or sulphide. It is the gradual destruction of materials by chemical and/or electrochemical reaction with their environment.
Engineering tolerance is the permissible variation in measurements deriving from the base measurement. Tolerances can apply to many different units. For example, the fasteners may have tolerances for dimension millimetre(mm).
Tensile strength is defined as the ability of a material to resist a force that tends to pull it apart.
